Save Tiger or Save Environment?

The Wild Cats

Use this super Sunday to Reflect, Refuel, Refocus by Just chilling and relaxing! grab your books and pen to take down thoughts and get engaged with today’s surprise element!

Today we are gonna talk about our national animal Tiger. Yeah, don’t be surprised! 29th July, is celebrated as an international tiger day to create awareness of conservation of tiger and promote the natural habitat of tiger. Yaa let’s talk about Tigers and i am going to talk about 2 questions here.

So, the 1st question is; Are tigers harmful or we humans are making them harmful?

Recently I heard of an incident where a tourist had visited a national park during summers. As it was mid-summer time (45 – 47 temp) the tiger was sitting ideally in a pond and was flaunting with water. This tourist guy was like “No I don’t like calm tigers; I would be pinching him for sure”. He literally started throwing biscuits to that tiger. I mean really you are being like I will punch you in face and you be like boxing bag.

Dude he is one the wildest cat if you doing such so called pinching, he is bloody gonna rip you apart in seconds. At some extent it feels like we humans are more dangerous to ourselves than those wild cats and animals.

2nd question is; what do we need to save tigers or save environment?

According to reports populations of tiger in India stats something like this:

Year Population of tiger
20101,706
20152,226
20212,967

Now, humans are becoming so self-obsessed that they are themselves heading towards their own destruction. They are more or less everyday encroaching the forest area.

Actually, there are 2 zones mostly in every jungle.

1.  Core zone – the zone where these wild animals mostly inhabit and the forest is very dense there without human population or with minimal human population. (Dark Green region)

2. Buffer zone – the zone where little human habitation is there and density of jungle is less. Wild animals are seen very less here. (Light Green region)

Year Forest Area covered (%)
201023%
2015 21.34%
202121.67%

An average male tiger needs solitary area of about 100 sq km. So as humans are encroaching the forest area. The solitary of tiger is getting smaller and due to that the wild cats living in core zone are frequently seen in buffer zone.

It’s very good news that tiger population is increasing but is it safe for us? I mean, if population is increasing than at same rate forest should also increase or else that increase in population of tiger will be on behalf of someone else’s life. There’s lot more to talk like poaching and killing but we won’t go there. (जगह होगी नहीं तोह रखोगे कहा)

Save tiger, save animals, protect environment. “Be human, Be kind”. Celebrate this international tiger not only to protect tiger but also to protect environment in what’s so ever way possible.

That’s it for today. See you guys on next Sunday till then work on yourself, work on surroundings and also don’t forget to like, share and comment on this blog. #Focusonnewyou
